Is it possible to validate an email address during signup?

Allo,

I have a forum website where people can make an account. Often, I find people putting wrong email addresses, on purpose or not. Is it possible to check if the email is correct when they sign up? Like, to be sure it's a real email, not fake?

Merci beaucoup!

Hey,

Yes, it's easily doable using a real-time email validation service like Clearout. You can check the email as the user is filling up the signup form. You can even customize the type of sign-ups you'd like to receive, e.g., free or business domain signups. Here, have a look - https://clearout.io/integrations/real-time-javascript-email-validation/

You can have a look at MailboxValidator.com as they have plugins for forums, blogs, etc. to validate email address upon sign up.

These rely on the MailboxValidator API so you can just sign up for the free API plan at https://www.mailboxvalidator.com/plans#api.

I recommend Clearout.io too. Helped us to block spam and invalid emails. It's been a couple of years since we are still with them. They have real-time email validations for forms. Try and see!
